Or The Godfather 4/Goodfellas 2 in my opinion. My favorite Pesci role and De Niro was awesome, especially when fighting with Stone. It's so hard to choose one favorite Scorsese film but this one is a very close call...next to Goodfellas and The Departed. Too hard to choose.

I concur. The Godfather Part II you could argue has the better themes and life lessons to it, but Part I is just pure storytelling. It's in my opinion the best film ever made and every aspect of it is virtually mastered. The Godfather - 20/10 The Godfather Part II - 9/10 The Godfather Part III - 6.5/...

The Godfather is by the far the best movie ever made, Brando's presence alone is enough to make it a great but the fact he was reading cue cards around the place and criminal activity was going on behind the scenes with real mobsters intertwined into the film makes it incredible!

The Godfather series is, of course, a trilogy, but each film... stand alone movie. I think Godfather 2 might not have been... I think in actually liking Godfather 3. Sofia Coppola was not..., and the climactic scene in Godfather 3 I find so overdone...
