By Kristin Sample Filed under: Other Drama Shows, OpEd, Episode Reviews, Reality-Free(S02E07) I need to point something out first. When they show Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the opening credits, he stares into the camera and widens his eyes just a little bit at the last second. It's perfectly sexy and haunting...

By Kristin Sample S02E05) This was by far the heaviest episode of The Tudors I've seen. I'll get to my review of the heavier parts later. First, however, I think I'll begin with some of the lighter parts of the episode, all of which were provided by the Pope. I know I've said it before but Peter O'Toole is an invalua...

By 1979semifinalist This match was deemed unworthy by both Cardinal Wolsey and King Henry (although it was a time before Anne would realize the king had anything to do with it). Wolsey undid her marraige quite cruelly and she was banished from court temporarily. That was a very hard lesson to learn. And for a w...

By Paul Levinson I saw the first episode of The Tudors, Season 2, on Showtime On Demand ... Not to worry, this is history, after all, so it's not easy to give much away, and I promise to be mum about anything embellished, in this or any review I may post before the episode's full-bodied airing... Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII and Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn are as sensual as last year, and, who cares if this Henry's a rail like Abe Lincoln and not hefty like the real Henry. Rhys Meyers' performance still carries the requisite weight. This setting of this momentous stage of history will appear on Showtime this Sunday evening.
