The Young and the Restless Recap for Week Ending 10-16-09: Part 1 (”This show always seems poised on the brink of true soap greatness and then blows it it spectaculerly. For instance, with The Moustache on the mend how awesome would it have been for Sheila in cognito to have gotten the job as his nurse so as to be able to keep an eye on the goings on in Genoa City from the safety of the Newman ranch — especially with Lauren being friends with Phyllis who lives on the property. And why not have Patti meet up with fellow nutjob Tricia Dennison who was a major thorn in The Moustache’s side and who was ten times more interesting than that fucking baby doll voiced Amber? Genoa City needs some resident bad girls who know how to get the job done and not end up in jail or the psych ward. And they might as well just have NuAdam and The Saint kiss already since it’s obvious that that’s where the story is going in an effort to use Her High Holiness to humanize and redeem the blind bastard so that we truly feel sorry for him when the baby switch comes to light and he loses the woman he loves who also happens to be his brother’s ex-wife and therefore set up a triangle for the next generation of the viewing audience” Edition
