Tyler Perry recently admitted to being molested by an older woman when he was younger, along with being abused by family. Tyler Perry wrote an open letter to his fans and discussed how he was abused and molested by an older woman as a child:

Move over Tyler Perry, Beyonce has her eyes set on Hollywood, even if she's not starring in the film. I'd like to do a film loosely based on my father's (Mathew Knowles) childhood and school years. He's had an interesting life. But that will probably be in a couple of years."

The incident made headlines around the country and led to a U.S. Justice Department review. It also got the attention of actor Tyler Perry, who offered to pay for the children from the day camp to go to Walt Disney World.
