Also, I assume if the animals are the new U2 that would make Livvy their new manager. Move over Paul McGuinness: I'll take the sound of the old U2, thank you! I like the look of the new one, though, David...like the look of Livvy, too...she's a cutie!
Entertainment Weekly has named their top 100 “New Classics” albums and U2 scored well with The Joshua Tree at #63 and Achtung Baby at #3. Personally, I would’ve flipped those two rankings (and added War in there somewhere), but it’s great to see they placed twice nonetheless.
I think the lesson I learned here was: Don't go see U2 more than once on a tour. Nothing feels worse than rolling your eyes at a band you love, nothing in the world. But, first-timers, ignore my grumpiness: DEFINITELY GO. Love it. Hold up your cell phone and text your name to save Africa or whatever...
U2's last studio album, 2000's redefining All That You Can't Leave Behind, saw the band abandoning many of the eccentricities of their '90s output in favor of more bombastic songs. "Beautiful Day" and "Elevation" became nearly inescapable at radio.

The band has been working on the follow up to 2004 LP How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb for the past 12 months, but they're far from happy with the results. Rocker Bono wants to spend a staggering $237.2 million turning the hotel he owns in his native Dublin, Ireland into a spectacular city resort.

As you may have gathered, I used to be a bit of a U2 fan, entirely because of The Edge's guitar, though admittedly Adam's a top bloke, and as for Bono, well, what can I say? Make Bono History, that's what I can say. I think the first (of many) illegal activities I've been involved in was as a U2 tape...
