Werdum vs. Silva was decent. I thought Silva should have gotten a 10-8 for the 1st and it should have been a draw. Silva made a mistake by following Werdum to the ground. If he stuck with backing off after he dropped Werdum and forcing more standup, I think he would have won. Werdum was too heavy.

By Chart Topper Sherdog.com has confirmed with multiple sources that both fighters have made verbal agreements to face one another to meet on Feb. 21 at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. The event has yet to be confirmed by UFC officials with the main event featuring a middleweight bout between Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama. Both fighters are coming off of disappointing losses and will look to improve their record. Rothwell lost his UFC debut to Cain Velasquez by TKO in the second round of their UFC 104 match, a loss the former IFL fighter contests as an early and unnecessary stoppage. He had put together a thirteen fight win streak before going 1-2 in his past three fights which include the loss to Velasquez as well as to Andrei Arlovski. [read the full post]
