UC Davis women's volleyball tops Irvine Kayla Varney had 15 kills and Allison Whitson 14 as the Aggies (17-7, 8-2) defeated visiting UC Irvine (17-5, 7-3) 3-1 in a Big West Conference showdown. The Aggies won 25-22, 18-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Five Aggies scored in double figures, led by sophomore forward Joe Harden's career-high 24 points, on the way to an 85-76 victory over UC Irvine before an announced crowd of 1,007 at the Pavilion.
