All right, the poll concerning a possible change of format to The Revolution has been closed and the results are in. I want to thank everyone for their participation as this poll had the strongest voter turnout of any poll on The Revolution. The results are as follows:

Keep the reviews the same no matter how few reviews are posted each week: 34% (144 votes)
Keep the synopsis the same and shorten the comments and do at least seven reviews a week: 33% (143 votes)
Shorten the synopsis but keep the comments the same and do at least seven reviews a week: 22% (93 votes)
Shorten the synopsis and the comments and post reviews for all the titles for the week: 9% (42 votes)

This was an extremely close vote. But, keeping the format the same squeaked out a win by one simple vote. See, those ads that encourage you to vote in an election year are not lying. Each vote really does count. All right, enough of that impromptu PSA. Since keeping The Revolution’s format the same won the poll then I will not alter my style of reviews.

However, since this vote was so close, I believe that the Followers who voted for keeping the synopsis the same and shortening the comments will also be pleased by a slight change I have made with The Revolution. As everyone has noticed, Thom has joined The Revolution and has begun posting reviews. As you can tell, Thom delivers the same richly detailed synopsis of each issue like I do, but Thom delivers much more concise commentary than what is in my reviews.

Therefore, I figure that Thom’s reviews will make everyone who voted for keeping the synopsis the same but shortening the comments happy even though they lost the poll concerning the format of my reviews. See, we are getting the best of both worlds. The Revolution lives to serve is Followers.

All right, it looks like we have a total of 12 titles headed to the Bunker. This week evenly split between Marvel and DC along with a pair of titles from Dynamite Entertainment. This appears to be a better selection of titles than what we got last week.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? This is easy. Justice Society of America Annual #1. C’mon, it is Power Girl returning to Earth-2, baby! How could you not be excited for this issue? I have been waiting for this moment pretty much the second after DC wiped away Earth-2 back in 1986. It has been a damn long wait and I am going to enjoy every second of this issue.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Teen Titans #61. This title has really been flagging as of late. The past story arc was way too repetitious of earlier story arcs that we got during Johns’ run on this title. And the latest roster changes have left me rather uninterested in this title.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? I am definitely more excited about the selection of comic books headed our way from the House of Ideas than I am by what DC is offering. I am certainly looking forward to Newuniversal 1959. I have thoroughly enjoyed Ellis’ work on Newuniversal and am eager to see Ellis fleshing out the past on this parallel Earth.

I am also keenly waiting to read Thor #10. I rarely enjoy JMS’ work, but he certainly has seemed to find a home on Thor. This title is a perfect match for his talents and each issue is a consistent and dependable read.

However, the Marvel comic book that I am most looking forward to reading is Wolverine #67. I found Millar’s first issue of this story arc to be an absolute blast. I love the way that Millar is tapping into Eastwood’s Unforgiven in order to give us an intriguing old man Logan. I expect Wolverine #67 to be a highly entertaining read.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Wolverine: Origins #27. Daniel Way has made this title practically unreadable from the very first issue. I see no reason to believe that this trend will not continue with this latest issue of Wolverine: Origins.
