By Geoff Klock(geoff.klock@gmail.com) As Patrick has already pointed out, the middle chapter of “Fall of the Mutants” – a double-sized issue – sees Claremont tossing out ideas and allusions at a schizophrenically breakneck pace, with almost every turn of the page revealing some new wrinkle. Alan Moore and Grant Morrison are g...

Bring home Colossus Twentysomethingovitch when you're fourteen and see how long it takes you to get ungrounded. You'...

By Loren On many levels, Warbound addresses social levels in the way that these characters are hated by humans, yet have sworn to protect them. As you read the book, you develop genuine sympathy for these characters, despite the fact that, just a couple of months ago, they tried to aid the Hulk in des...

Rate Comic Book Review: X-Force #1

Original at Rokk's Comic Book Revolution external link    Sun, Feb 24

By Rokk Krinn Spinning out from the dramatic ending of Messiah Complex comes the newest incarnation of X-Force. And I actually like the purpose of this X-Force more than the preceding versions of this team. Due to the events of Messiah Complex, Cyclops has seen the need for a black ops team like X-Force to pull off the dirty missions that the X-Men cannot be connected with or handle at all. If nothing else, X-Force should supply us with tons of action and a relatively fast paced story. Let’s go ahead and do this review for X-Force #1. Scott says it is only a matter of time before whatever Risman stole from the SHIELD facility is used against mutants. Cyclops says that he wants Logan to lead X-Force and go after Risman and his Purifiers before they have a chance to do w...   [read the full post]

A good superhero is nothing without a good nemesis, a good rogues gallery. And a good rogues gallery usually reflects the hero in some way. Batman is a tragic character who is a tad mentally unstable, his most memorable foes are often one or both. Spider-Man was created by a scientific acciden...

Professor Xavier had been so assured of his own right-mindedness he had never considered that a class 5, like Jean Grey could have learned to control her talents, without his mental barriers. John scowled back at her. “Magneto told me to come see you. What’s going on, Rogue? Why is Magneto enc...

Wing had never felt so heavy. He'd been 'lucky' enough not to have been flying when he'd been depowered, but he certainly thought otherwise. June was probably relieved to be depowered. He saw headline after report or CNN special about mutants who were happy that they were 'normal' again.
