 X-Men: Divided We Stand #1 of 2

Marvel Comics

Carey, Peterson, Ponsor, Kyle, Yost, Takeda, Young, Beaulieu, Yost, LaFuente, Fraction &amp;amp; McKelvie

Lastly, Nightcrawler confronts the one who nearly killed him, Scalphunter. This story is good for a couple of reasons. One, it really gives deep insight into Nightcrawler&#8217;s character. We even get the aspects of his spirituality which isn&#8217;t always presented with the character. Secondly, we see that not all the X-Men are lost in their purpose. Lastly, we see that the villains of the Messiah Complex aren&#8217;t exactly prospering since the war ended either.

We shift back to Rogue and Gambit. Rogue says that Mystique isn&#8217;t dead. Rogue mentions that when she was healed from the Strain 88, that all the minds she had absorbed over the years were also erased. That it was just Rogue. For about a minute. That now it is Rogue and Mystique in her head. Rogue says that she wish she had seen this sooner because then she never would have touched Mystique. Rogue then says that Mystique is the last person she ever wants to see and now Mystique is stuck in her head. Rogue then says that she needs to go away and be by herself and think. Rogue then leaves.

Cable then teleports from the scene. As Cable is teleporting away, Bishop wakes up and screams &#8220;NO!&#8221; and fires several shots at Cable&#8217;s disappearing form. The shots wiz through wher...

Ed Brubaker wants her on Uncanny X-Men? Easy - &#8220;It didn&#8217;t work out.&#8221; Claremont has them say IN THE COMIC that they are unsure if it will work - so really, not a big deal, and certainly not Claremont trying to screw with other writers. If Claremont had some pattern of trying to hurt other writers,...

<title>Comic Book Review: X-Men #201: Endangered Species</title>

The Endangered Species back-up story has the Beast investigating Neverland. Beast notices that someone else has already searched all of the files and compute databases. Beast imagines that it must have been the colleague that High Evolutionary spoke about. This person seems one step ahead of Beast.

And what is up with Carey&#8217;s Colossus? Colossus acts like he is from outer space rather than from Russia. Colossus isn&#8217;t a Vulcan. And Colossus didn&#8217;t just get off the boat. He has been in America for quite some time. It is striking the difference of Whedon&#8217;s well developed Colossus and Carey&#8217;s one-dimensional dumb Colossus who acts like he just arrived on planet Earth from planet Vulcan.
